I'm making the same trip this summer too.
If you have two generators I would take them both. I'll have my 2000 watt and a 3500 watt inverters, and run the one I need too at the time.
I do my own mechanic work so I take plenty of tools, duct tape, electrical tape, pancake air compressor, a 50' air hose, a couple gallons of radiator water, etc.
After all.... it's my truck and trailer.
