I just remembered another one. We had disembarked the ferry at Port Townsend WA, my wallet was MIA. I panicked, figured I had dropped it at the Coupeville terminal but how to get it back? We got out to walk around and assess our options and lo and behold there it was, my wife had been sitting on it! Of course I got flak for leaving it on the seat. We would have seen it on the ferry but couldn't open the doors to get out.
