Different circumstances for different people. You have found what works best for you, that does not necessarily mean that's the best for everyone. I will keep my seasonal as long as I can, I have a spot in the woods next to three large interconnected lakes. Summertime temperature is mid 70's not 100+.
People keep seasonals down South or out west to avoid the bitter cold winter, you don't have to shovel rain.
There's no way in God's green earth that I would spend the summer in the desert, but like you said to each his/her own.
As far as mobility I own another RV for travel. The seasonal is a destination trailer and no way would I want to pull it back and forth.
