- shelbyfvExplorerI'd like more reasonably safe and accessible places to pull off and overnight. No facilities or hookups, no 18 wheelers, no searching for an agreeable Walmart. Could be as simple as allowing overnights at all interstate rest areas.
- VeebyesExplorer IIHere is one that I have not been able to figure out. If CGs have anything at all they have a paved or concrete parking pad for the RV but the area beside the RV outside of the door area is DIRT.
Something is wrong here. I don't care if the RV parks on dirt. I'd like to step off onto concrete or tarmac & not track the dirt inside.
No dog site areas would be nice too in large CGs. Let all the yappy little things be in one area along with what they leave behind. - NCWriterExplorerHow about family sections AND adults-only sections in all campgrounds? Or just peace & quiet sections?
Most of the handful of negative experiences we've had were in parks where parents tossed the kiddies, even tiny ones, out the door to "play" (create attention-seeking mischief or wander off beside bodies of water without lifeguards) while the parents stayed inside' abdicating any responsibility for the kids' bad or dangerous behavior.
Or times when way too many people in one campsite were partying long past quiet hours. Etc etc. - tonyandkarenExplorerMore space between the sites with natural vegetation preserved or replanted. Generator free sections and a ban on construction type generators.
- BizmarksMomExplorerIn Nat. Forest campgrounds, somebody to enforce the generator rules. An hour to use the microwave and make dinner, then back to quiet! (This is why I usually boondock)
There are plenty of full hook up campgrounds for those who want them. - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIWhen we would use a FHU CG site I really would appreciate 'SPACE'....enough SPACE that neighbors 'utilities' are NOT right out my entry door
"SPACE"
That is why we PASSED on MANY CGs while we FTd........not enough SPACE - coolmom42Explorer IIMore sites in national parks and forests, enough for everyone, but without hookups. If you want the FHU experience, go to a commercial campground and leave the great locations for the rest of us.
All generators must be QUIET.
More wildlife cruising through. - DuctapeExplorerI disagree with the request for FHU and pull through everywhere. Lack of those is all that's keeping the national forests tolerable.
KOA has plenty of space for people desiring amenities.
Now in commercial parks I agree let's get WIFI up to par. - Boon_DockerExplorer IIII boondock, so would like more wildlife visiting my site.
- hedgeExplorerkind of surprised how many people seem to need full hookups. I like non-hookup sites, maybe it's just up here but those seem to be the nicest sites and seem to have more room between them, seems they pack them together when they put services in.
I just don't seem to need services the way I camp.
