Yes, this would be good to have. - IndyTravelerExplorerRecycling centers in the each park or campground.
- Searching_UtExplorerThe big RV parks seem to have a good variety of options for that sort of camping, which can be quite enjoyable. Having been a backpacker a huge part of my life, and someone who enjoys tend camping although it doesn't like me so much anymore, what I'd like to see is the smaller remote forest service and BLM type campgrounds having spots big enough for my 5er. I like the widely spread out spots, remoteness, and quietness. Of course very strict limits on generator use would also be a great plus for this type of site.
- VeebyesExplorer IILots of SPs & NPs say no alcohol. Not that many pay attention to the signs. Can't see any CG authority getting upset with people quietly partaking. The rule is there as a stick for the rowdy ones.
- CavemanCharlieExplorer IIIIn MN the state parks say that no alcohol is allowed.
I hear that it is not strictly enforced.
I don't go to the state parks very often but, when I do it is during the off season, I find a secluded spot, and I keep my beer out of sight. - ramgunnerExplorer

I would wish for much more space between camp sites. Ban on alcohol. But I know this is wishful thinking. People think they need booze or now dope to enjoy camping. Sad but true
Are you really serious here? A Ban on Alcohol?
So I cannot enjoy my glass of wine and cheese plate I have so often?
I cannot have a bottle of wine in my Camper?
I cannot enjoy a cold beer after a long hot hike?
What I hope you mean is a ban on Drunkeness, loud and unruly behaviour after quiet hours?
Yours is a slippery slope proposition.
I'll also agree on this one. I'll drink a Redds Apple Strawberry on a Saturday or Sunday, and I'm not afraid to admit it. I don't really like regular beer, but Dos Equis isn't bad on occasion. But I've never been drunk and have no desire to do so.
Wanting to ban things for everyone based on what some people do is a symptom of fear. Acting out of fear isn't usually the best course. - ramgunnerExplorerI'll agree with that. Maintain what you have, and have what you advertise.
- ctilsie242Explorer III'd be happy with a list of amenities that work. If the place has a pool and it is not usable, then don't mention it. Similar with bath houses and laundry facilities. If it is advertised, then it should work.
- Jebby14ExplorerI don't like to see my neighbors. the more bush between sites the better
- fulltimedanielExplorerAfter reading all the posts so far it occurs to me that if all the folks that complain HERE about the loud, the unruly, the feral kids, out of hours generator use and all the other problems would complain on the spot to the right authority be it Ranger, camp host or park manager the above behaviour would decrease dramatically.
It does seem to me that many people are so adamantly non confrontational that they will allow almost any bad behaviour by others to ruin their time in a park or RV park.
The other night here in this RV Park a new camper pulled in behind us after dark and were so incredibly noisy I thought it may be an invasion of some sort. Later they woke me up at 11:30 sitting outside talking. One woman had a voice that could cut steel. I waited a bit and it stopped. At ONE FIFTEEN AM I was woken again by these folks, loud talking slamming of doors etc.
I stepped out of my camper in my "T" shirt and Boxer shorts and stood there looking at the woman and Said: "You do realize it is after one in the Morning?"
Her response: "I am taking my puppy out" And I replied "Well please do it quietly"
I never heard another squeak out of them the four days they were here. Had they been loud again at an inappropriate time I would have gone to the manager.
If more people did the above there would be fewer problems overall. People would learn that no matter where they go their bad behaviour will not be tolerated.
