Whats in your camping tool bucket?

When camping or RVing there's always that unexpected job or problem that comes up from time to time that needs to be resolved, So I thought it might be a good idea to share what we carry for tools.

This is my bucket list...

A good quality duct tape
Electrical & teflon tape
set of open x box wrenches, up to 3/4"
set of metric wrenches (I have a cheap set)
adjustable wrenches
Volt meter
standred & metric allen wrenches
small folding saw.
level
large & small phillips and slot screw drivers.(I also have a 6in one screw driver)
spare fuses and spare rv lamps (I keep in ziplock bag in glove box)
I bring 2 head lamps and a dewalt powered light.( I bring 2 charged 14 volt batteries)
3/8" drive ratchet wrench with extensions/sockets

Please share more ideas to help all of us.

    "White" duct tape.

A must have for RV's. Will let you temp fix something on the outside of the RV and you won't look like the Beverly Hillbillies while you are driving back home to fix it right!

I was reading through the posts wondering how noone said duct tape! Good call.

  • An assortment of sockets, wrenches and screwdrivers, a roll of electrical tape, a battery powered drill and an easement tool (hammer). And a credit card which I usually have to use after I've tried to fix something with those other tools. :)
  • A very basic tool set for me, and tire changing tools. We are just weekend campers. I have found in the past that almost anything "minor" can be fixed at the CG with a very minor set of tools. Anything that those tools can not fix, I will take the trailer home and fix there. Anything that I can not fix at home---well that is why they have service dealers.
  • All you have plus allot of zip ties,,torque wrench, side cutters and two lineman's pliers (large and medium)wire strippers and three sizes of hammers.. A roll of bailing wire, crimp connectors, and about three feet of 6" wide eternabond tape.
  • Things I will never use! Really all kinds of things from fuses to actual tools of all shapes and sizes. Things I will never use but buy just in case. Two must haves, Gorilla glue, Gorillia tape and industrial Velcro!

2 sizes- does everything on an RV that needs fixin or attaching. :B

Haven't opened the socket and/or the open end tool box in 4 years since adding the Robo Grips.

Your post reminded me that I forgot to include channel locks, but I like those Robo Grip Pliers too
