We virtually never use our oven at home and do not have one in the camper. There is just the two of us. We don't oven cook big roasts or the like. We don't eat frozen French fries or frozen waffles.
When camping we eat even more simply than when at home. Most of what is in the freezer are hamburger patties and precooked meats: hamburger, sausage and chicken meat. We make sauce for pasta, chili, meats for tacos and burritos and the like. Most of what we have can be turned into a meal in less than 15 minutes. In many cases, starting from the freezer and refrigerator items we would be eating dinner before an oven even heated up.
