A few of my regular CG's have been recently purchased by big corporations.
For the most part everything has been good. There has been noticable improvements and investments as well as price increases.
Firmly stating the rules could now be standard procedure for all the newbies entering the RV world.
The CG is stating up front there will be law and order. There is also no excuse for not knowing the rules.
In the long run how well the rules are enforced is the real issue.
I have been to places where there are too many rules and the CG is a bit too strict. I have also been to places that are too relaxed and none of the rulesare enforced.
Hopefully you will hit the sweet spot where lots of rules are not necessary, but there is someone around to enforce the rules when needed.
But if you hear banjos at check-in and there is not a Bluegrass festival on the agenda, keep on moving!
