I for one am not a CA lover by any stretch...most days I hope it would break off and float far away, but it hasn't happened yet. With that being said, out of all the places I have been, the secluded CA parks are some of the best we have ever been to. The strangle hold rules that they have protecting everything from everyone has allowed for some beautiful places to hike, camp, and picnic. I have another 6 months before we PCS back east, we try to get out every opportunity we get.
To the question, I think the problem is with the people nowadays. We drag the kids places kicking and screaming because there is no TV or Internet available...once out there, they start to enjoy it.
