This is California. Like my learned college professor said, and I repeat often, "follow the money." Let's improve California State Parks; build soccer fields, baseball fields, bring in trams and rapid transit, how about low cost cabins, food trucks, or better still restaurants, gift shops, maybe a mall or outlet stores, increase the tax base, support contractors, pass bond measures. So what if trees must be cut down, roads widened, noise increased. It is all in the interest of accessibility for city folk. Think I'll get off my soapbox now and pour myself a drink.
