wheel/rim size

I have a wheel question... I want to get a spare tire for my RV before we hit the road...

the tires on my RV are ST 235/80 R16 load range E... the wheels have 8 lug nuts on them...

I started looking for rim, but I don't understand bolt patterns and offset stuff..

One site went to online only showed 2 options.. and they were both 8 on 6-1/2... is it safe to assume there's a standard and I can just goto my local wheel shop and tell them I need a 16" rim 8 on 6-1/2 and be go to go?

I don't have the capability to take one of the wheels off and take it down to them to look at it and hooking up and hauling the whole thing down to them really isn't an option either as there's no where to park a big rig... :(
  • It is very important to match up not only what you mention but in my case there are 2 different wheels that fit mine. One has large holes in rim and one has small holes. Makes a big difference if you install valve extensions. There might be other differences???

If you can't get the wheel and tire to tire guy try taking a pic and writing down everything.

    You want everything the same.

On wheel rim...same size holes, rim, offset and type of metal etc.

    On tire...size, load range etc

Everything the same will save some problems down the road!!!
  • And you need to make sure that the wheel you're replacing is either lug centric or center centric and matches the new one. It's most likely lug centric so you'll need to get one to match. That is very important.
