We can't head south until after Christmas because our 2 granddaughters would be so unhappy with us. We left on the 26th last year but will not start until the 27th or 28th this year. Of course that also depends on what the weather is doing. The bad thing about leaving after Christmas is the traffic. There are lots of snowbirds who wait to leave then and last year it was terrible. We are looking at different routes for this season.
