We have a local that we call "Stickman". He sits in the back of his van on M-72 just east of Kalkaska, all summer long, making and selling hand wittled walking sticks. Price is usually $10 and up. Must do a reasonable business, because he has been doing it for years. He competes with "The Cherry Lady" for the prized spot, just east of the M-131 intersection. She sells cherries and cherry products all summer.
