Trackables have moved beyond needing to be in the container. I have one on my vehicle, making it trackable. There are patches, dog collars, and many other items that never see the inside of a cache container. I have friends that have TBs tattoos. The sticks could end up being something like that where the "owner" uses it to record the cachers that he/she meets up with on the trails or at events.
