Over the years I've given away sticks to relatives, guys I hunt with, camp with, worked with, or Fly Fish with.
I've also given a few to guys I met on the trail.
At any time I'm likely to have a dozen or more sticks at my house.
I would never sell a stick I spent time making. I had rather give em
to friends who will use them.
Now days guys into serious hiking are using the latest in Aluminum Sticks. They mostly don't want or appreciate the traditional sticks.
Traditional sticks are more likely used by old Fogies.
(Guess I'm one)
I find my sticks along creek banks, and along old logging roads.
Straighten em, and dry em 6-12 mos. then finish them to my liking.
I admit, I never thought about leaving one at a Cache Location.
