Interesting how many older folks whose screen names I recognize are on this site.
I am 75 and travel with my dog. In fact after many years winter camping in a BSA scout troop. I went the RV route after the wife died so I could take my dog (present from her) along on trips. Camping along the way.
I started with TTs in my sixties. Moved up and back down to the class C I have today. Mostly because my body said I had to. WD bars became heavier. The hitch became heavier. Then the five stairs in the class A were a problem when I mucked up a leg and the old dog by this time had a bad time with them also.
Last spring I headed west and turned around at the Black Hills because I was having problems with seeing road signs. Had the cataract surgery on both eyes this summer. Side note here, any older person having trouble driving at night should have the surgery if they have cataracts. I waited way too long.
Now I am good for several or more years. Traveling and doing what I like most. Meeting people on the road and just having fun.
You will know me because I carry a pooper scooper now when I walk the new dog Ginger. Bending over that far is a not pleasant now days.
I will hang it up when I suspect I cannot drive the camper safely.
