The branch bank ATM that I use is also the bank where I have my checking and savings accounts. Exclusively. I've pulled up to their drive thru and had it close before I could put my ATM card in the slot, but I know its coming because there's a human out there and the door is open. They also have a walk up near the front door which works while they're reloading the pull thru.
When I'm going to be traveling, I go into the bank and get one or more wrapped pack of $20s. $1,000 each. I'd be too embarrassed to pay for a Big Mac with a credit card or a $100.00 bill. I also call Visa and MasterCard to tell them that I'll be traveling, for how long, and how to reach my cell phone if they have a question. I don't know if they even write it down, but I've never had a problem or a call.
