Where are you camping this summer

i am getting excited for our summer trip to Ocracoke island this summer. we will be staying for a week in June. We will being staying the week of june 19. our plans are to take a ferry to portsmouth island. Where are you going for your big trip this summer?
  • Only one trip this year, but it is a long one. 125 days & about 8,000 miles. If there was a theme to it I guess it would have to be music, canals & balloons.

We have 6 music festivals lined up, a few nights at a CG next to the Erie canal, about a weeks worth at a couple CGs next to the Trent Severn canal in Canada & 5 days at the Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Fiesta.
  • Somewhere near the sweet coast. No salt, no sharks, no worries, just big blues lakes.

After you've seen the Balloon Fiesta, take the time to visit the Pueblo Cultural Center, Taos Pueblo, Santa Fe and finally the Acoma Pueblo.

If you visit Taos and Acoma, compare their narrative histories. They tend to contradict each other in one very glaring respect. But they are both a pleasure to visit.

BTW - Bermuda is one of our favorites places to visit.
  • Eastern Sierra mostly. A couple of trips to Oregon.
  • Four and a half months at Creede, CO. Balloon Fest, music festival, four rodeos, car show, woodcarving show, quilt show, ,kayaking, mountian biking, river rafting, trout fishing, off road exploring, hiking plus numerous live broadway style shows. Can't wait to get there
  • I would rather not say because I do not like crowds.
I wish people were not so free with all the "good places."

That's called the ladder up attitude. I got mine and I don't want anyone to get theirs. Pull that ladder up after boarding your yacht.
