I fail to see the connection between a common Chrysler 'problem' and a similar issue that's not a problem with a Ford modular engine. Are you saying that if a customer came in complaining of 'excessive' oil consumption to the tune of a quart every three thousand miles, you'd recommend a complete tear-down to replace the piston rings which, on a Ford in particular, won't fix the (non-existant) problem?
And mechanics wonder why people don't like mechanics??
Until somebody can show me some some sort of empiracle evidence that anything less than a quart in 900 miles on a Ford modular motor is an indication of a problem, I think I'm going to have to side with the engineers who designed, developed, and tested the engine, thankyouverymush...
