Thanks for the replies. The liberty is my wifes Jeep, I have wired tow vehicles for trailer lights, so that much i know i can do, and i have added hitches to my old 96 jeep cherokee sport, and now the newer 2004 jeep grand cherokee with no problems, (yes, we are a jeep family, her daughter also has a 2005 Jeep liberty, and her son is looking for a nice Jeep grand Cherokee) The only thing i find alittle out of my skill set, is the removal of the front fascia for the liberty. but i have seen the videos and it seems like a 3-4 hours job for a novice like me. I was looking at the prices of the base plate 300-400 bucks, and the tow bar 500-600 bucks... so we will have to put that equation into the budget if we decide to go with the toad
