When we went to Alaska (and not knowing how much actual cash we needed) - I hid some money by removing a drawer in the bedroom, and then taping a ziplock bag to the front of the cabinet below the drawer. In other words, if a thief pulled out the drawer, they would not see it.
Another safe spot might be in a box of feminine products ;-) Tape a $100 bill inside a roll of TP. Or there are countless "can safes" - tins that look like soup, but the bottom can be opened.
Normally, Ed and I just split the cash-carrying duties between us. As others have said, given how fast an RV can burn, we figure our money was safer with us.
