- Johnny_G1ExplorerThe wife keeps it in her nicker's and she don't part with either very much lately.
- Gene_GinnyExplorerOn the last trip I hid my money in a fake rock next to the camper door but when we got home the rock next to the camper door was missing. :h
- ktmrfsExplorer IIIf I told you it wouldn't be "hiding my money anymore!".
FWIW I have a spot in my pickup that takes less than 10 seconds to get to a stash of cash insurance registration etc.
I've told several friends/relatives if they can find it in an hour, they can have half the loot. No one has succeded yet. after about 15 minutes they swear there is NO hiding place left. - toedtoesExplorer III

I saw a youtube video of a hidden safe in the floor of an FW. You could hide it in the bottom of your clothes hamper. Most thieves won't look there. You can also put in a phony breaker box. They make coke cans with false bottoms. You could make your own hide away using a cereal box or oatmeal box. The options are only limited by your imagination.
Actually, most thieves simply go through everything. They trash the house throwing things around. The reason is simple. That bundle of bills you hid in the cereal box? It will fall out when they shove the boxes out of the cupboard onto the floor. They will toss over clothes hampers, throw drawers around, etc. Their plan is to uproot as many hiding places in as short of time as possible. - LuckeyUsExplorerMany good ideas for the trailer, as well as for the house while we're traveling.

Portable gun safes are handy places to store stuff and they can be bolted into the floor of a closet.
I have a portable gun safe in my truck. It locks to the base of the seat with a cable. It's handy because I figure I'll usually be in or near my truck if I need to get my passport or cash. My truck is alarmed, so I'm hoping it would discourage a thief from trying to get in.
I was camping near Pensacola several years ago when a swarm of police cars arrived as I was setting up. A woman said that she was in her RV with the door opened and went into the bedroom. A guy ran in and grabbed her purse right off the dining room table with her only a few feet away. - mlts22ExplorerIf we are talking about shooing burglars away, I wonder about something like this, a TV simulator, which gives the impression that someone is inside watching the boob tube.
Another idea is what I've seen done fairly often with people who store their rigs in/near the city at storage yards. They throw in a dead TV and some electronic items into unlocked storage compartments. A tweaker with their hands full isn't a tweaker ripping walls out for copper wire, although there can be more than one set of burglars deciding to pay a RV lot a visit. - murphysranchExplorerI'm not worried about any cash I would have. I'm always worried about our two laptops, tablet, and such.

Finally, turn a radio on. Thieves can't be sure there isn't somebody still inside and they could be armed.
We always turn the radio on when leaving...it distracts the dog so he isn't busy worrying about the noises he hears outside. The ambient noise won't help you if you try to steal his bacon bites.
