where do you wash and detail your rig?

I googled "Semi Truck wash in Pace, FL" and got three hits in Navarre, FL. Niceville, FL. and Gulf Shores, AL. It doesn't say if they're do it yourself, but you could call or stop by and see. I'd think there would be demand from RV snowbirds in winter.
I found a coin operated one at a CG once, but it was in Yukon Territory in Canada. You'd probably have to wash it again when you got home. :)

I wash mine in front of the house. One campground in my travels had a RV wash area-Betebel in San Juan Bautista CA. That was years ago, don't know if it still does. Nearly all are specific- they don't want you to wash RV in your site. Some do have detailing service references who can come to your site and wash/detail your rig.

I always thought it would be win/win if some RV parks had a few isolated sites where you could wash your RV. Sites without drainage problems, and priced so the park could profit from them.

If you have a dirty rig and calling around to parks, it never hurts to ask about it.

We stop at a truck wash, like Blue Beacon or Little Sisters whenever it is convenient. For around $25 (truck camper) I am washed and ready to roll!

We are fulltimers and have never had a campground deny us washing the bugs off the front cap of the 5th wheel and we do this every travel day. We use a small bucket and a brush, never getting out the hose. And we have been able to wash our RV all over the country with the campground's permission. On our trip to Alaska this past summer, we had to pay and wash at a specific location. Otherwise, we wash at our site. Washed it 2 days ago in MS.

That was just one of the "little minor" issues we had to solve when going full time. I wanted to be able to wash my fiver several times a year and get a good wax on it twice a year.

As others have pointed out most CG's will not allow washing of RVs or vehicles. We found a CG in our old home area we use for about 3 months a year and another in SW Florida for winter stays that allow it.

Most CG's don't allow washing. But always ask.

I found many that have a dedicated site set aside for washing RV's that you would not know of unless you asked. So I ask at every CG now.

Detailing? I wax my MH every other week AT the CG site. Surprises many including the CG owners but it doesn't use their water so there you go! Some have asked why use my vacation time to detail the coach.....I Full Time RV so I have 365 days of camping time!:C

Most campgrounds do not allow you to wash the RV there. There are truck washes on many major highways. I clean mine at home with a wet microfiber cloth and then wax with Wash and Wax All, if needed. There is no hose needed and there is no water on the ground.

Our normal CG allows us to wash our trailer for $10 fee to cover the additional water use.

We store ours in a storage yard. I have a five gallon pail & squeegee with the foam scrubber on the opposite side. Put it on a expandable painter pole to reach the top.

I fill the pail at the storage yard with about 4 gallons of water and a very small amount of cider vinegar ( maybe a teaspoon, helps not to leave streaks). That's it. Dip the squeegee in the water scrub a wide area and then turn the thing around and squeegee it off ( get it off before it dries). I always have just over a gallon in the bucket when I finish. Enough to do the wheels with rags. Saves on water and the MH looks great.

Every spring I pay the dealer to scrub the roof and treat it. Here is a waterless cleaner on the market.

Boy have times changed. Back in the 80's I used to drive my BMW 3.0csi from Colorado to California to CoupeFest at Laguna Seca and all the times I stayed in Moab Utah and Lake Tahoe (Can't remember the hotels) the owners even provided buckets and towels for detailing the vehicle. Today if your lucky they may give you the time of day.
As for our RV, we have an enclosed garage at home so detailing the unit before trips is rather simple as I can do it at my leisure.
