Where to do a 30# propane exchange

Where would one exchange a 30# propane Rv tank, once expired?

I have done it many times over the years for my home 20# tanks, but never noticed any exchange for 30#. I have a few more years, but figured I should start looking out for a place.

    No exchange I've seen does the bigger tanks. They will, however, take your outdated big one and give you a smaller one.

    Amerigas.....propane supplier. They can re-cert. or direct you to someone.

    Good to know, I did not know they would re-certify tanks. I wonder if Flying-J Truckstops would re-certify?

    I had one of my 30's recertified last fall. The refill place that did it charges $5.

    I've never seen such an exchange. All the ones I've seen are for the bbq size bottles. We always just have ours filled at a gas station.
