Ron3rd & mike-s I looked up the installation instructions on the P3 and it seems that it can be mounted in any vertical angle so long as it is level horizontally and pointing forward. I'd like to post the photo, but it appears it has to already be online and url-addressed in order to do that. I'll check later today and see if I can figure anything out. The P3 looks like what I need.
neschultz, I am intrigued by the Tekonsha RF. I have read, though, that there can be problems with lost connections. The Amazon reviews seem mostly favorable but with a significant number of pairing problems. It seems to substitute a radio-linked unit on the trailer for a hard-wired unit in the vehicle. What would you say is the advantage to that (other than not having to find a spot to mount the controller in the vehicle)? Have others of you had experience with this type of controller? How reliable is it?
