neschultz, it appears that the Tekonsha RF sits on the trailer frame. Is theft or weathering a problem? I asked about the advantages to think about the trade-off of it being more expensive.
It is bolted to the trailer frame. No theft or weathering problems for the last year. Additional expensive was an easy choice at the time since my son and I would have each had to buy the wired units. It will also be really easy to transfer to a new vehicle. After using it for almost 8000 miles of TT travel, I'd buy it again, even if I was the only user.
