Funny, I posted a similar question on Memorial Day and the majority of responses are how "I would never camp on a holiday". The question was where are you camping...not ARE you camping amd if not, WHY? We didnt open a where are you camping thread to find out why you arent.
With that, my family is PROUDLY camping at Stone Mountain Park, GA this weekend. Came in Friday, heading out tomorrow. It all about managing timing, amd where you are when. We come here for all the majors (Memorial, 4th, Labor) so we know when to be where. Want to enjoy the park activities...go in at 10 and be clear by 3. Pool? 10 am - 2 pm. Laser show, forget that crowd, we have a spot we can access via golf cart we can watch the the show and fireworks in the comfort of the cart without a soul around.
We enjoy a full campground, fun to see everyone's setups. Just have to know how to mamage it.
