at 3 months old in a tent on a jeep trip in the Mojave desert of California.
Tented in Boy Scouts up through high school
With my family a couple of homemade camper vans then an 18 FT TT
Once married used an above cab camper shell(cap) on a short bed 4X4 Dodge pickup
Then bought a 1959 1 1/2 ton truck with a chassis mounted 10 foot camper.
A few years later a 23 FT travel trailer
Short time with a 25 FT Winnebago
Then back to the 23 ft TT
Currently 37 FT 5th wheel with two slides.
Based on the previous replies the rule of thumb still holds true...Most RV'ers go through at least 3 smaller RVs (25ft and under) before settling on a large RV (30ft and longer).
