As a baby, started with my parents in a teardrop trailer. Then my parents camped in a tent or cabin while us kids camped in the grandparents 20ft Nomad. When I was 8 yrs old, my parents bought a 1978 Wilderness 25ft bunkhouse travel trailer. We not only camped in it, but also lived in it full time while my parents bought property to build on. There was 4 girls 8 yrs and under and mom and dad. We lived in a trailer park or on our property for 3 years. We camped in that trailer for many years. Then when I got married, my husband was from a family who camped out in the woods, on the side of a logging road, mostly in tents. That was a new thing for me, but I preferred trailers. When our 2 kids were really young, we bought a used tent trailer and camped all over the woods and in coastal campgrounds with it. Our kids outgrew the tent trailer and we bought a huge tent with a raised airbed and air mattresses for the kids. We had a great time in the tent but I was still praying for a trailer. In 2012, a friend gave us a 25ft 1980 travel trailer. It was amazing for camping during hunting season but my husband couldn't fit his long legs in the bed area. In March 2014, we found a great deal on a Forest River Salem RK27ss and now I can't wait for our first official trip in it.

Parents used a pop up when we were kids.
When older I mostly backpacked and canoe camped using a 1 and 2 man tent.
When married we camped with the kids in large tents.
Wife and I by ourselves bought a vintage B camper van, high top but van width body. We sold it last year and bought a 26' C this year. Don't want bigger as there are size restrictions on places we like to camp.

many of these are simultaneous... The pop-up and trailer are used as our base camp for many trips.

30 foot TT. With small slide.
33. Foot TT. with huge slide.
36 foot 5th wheel with 3 slides. Retired now and enjoying it more then ever.

Although I'm sure I camped before then, the earliest I remember was tent camping with my folks when I was 4, traveling by motorcycle in the SW. My dad was in the Air Force, so we moved around a lot and always traveled and camped wherever we were. Also pitched our tent all over Europe while stationed in Germany. When we couldn't find a campground we'd sleep in the back of the station wagon. When we came back to the states we got a big ugly green Chevy van and camped in that or pitched a tent. I'd always tent camped until I met my DH in my 30's.

DH's parents bought a pop-up when he was 10 and they always took that on their family vacations. He also slept in fox holes and tents while in the Army.

After we got together, the inlaws bought a 5-er and gave us the PUP. We've had the PUP for about 15 years (she's 40 now!) and just brought home our first ever TT. As we get older, we seem to like things easier. Getting up from an air mattress on the ground isn't as easy as it used to be! lol
