Cummins 12V98 What do you mean by bed deflection?
The base on the Ultimate sets on the top edges of the bed corrugation. When accelerating and especially when braking the base pushes forward and deflects and can dent the bed towing heavy and within their "limits". This is FACT.
The 18K B&W used to do the same as I was towing 18k and it DID cause bed deflection, since they have upgraded the base so it transfers the weight to the bottom corrugation and then to the bed cross members.
Andersen has had to upgrade their Ultimate because of the hitch it's self folding under hard braking. Guess that fancy "crush" test video did not account for that!
Andersen IMHO is a quality US made hitch, BUT I would NO way use in the upper limits the say it can handle.
