Which 5th wheel hitch for my turn-over ball goosenck

We just got a 2016 Fuzion 371 which is approximately 40' and 16,500lb gross. My tow vehicle is a 2015 Silverado 3500 crew cab long bed 4x4 dually. I'm shopping for my hitch and looking for insight. I was originally planning on a B&W Companion to drop into the gooseneck socket. I then got tempted by the Anderson Ultimate for the even easier removal from the truck and the ability to freely swivel. I most recently discovered the Blue Ox Super Hitch which makes me think it might avoid the need to upgrade the pin box for dealing with chucking. We like the idea of being able to tow a friend's 5er in case they need help which hurts the Anderson due to the adaptor needed. Any thoughts or suggestions?

    +1 on the Andersen.
I am recovering from knee replacement & my wife put the hitch on this weekend so we could move the rv from our leased lake site to our land with the new rv shed.
  • Another vote for the Companion. We use our tractor to remove it, as others have said it is heavy

  • I love my B&W Companion. I have no experience with either of the other 2 hitches you mentioned, but I also don't have any desire to try them.
  • I have the B&W and it does great.Simple solid design and mine is quiet. Even separated it is a beast to get out of the truck.
  • I can say I love my companion except for the weight thing of getting it in and out. Cant speak to the others as I have no experience with them. I will admit I have been looking at the Anderson strictly for the ease of getting it in and out. I use my truck for other stuff so I have to remove the hitch and put it back frequently during the season. Chucking has not been an issue with my trailer and companion. I wont say it never happens but it is not a regular thing and is a non issue for our setup.
