OP here. By "safety" I mean how likely are you to get killed over 1,000,000 miles of driving. How many passenger deaths per 1,000,000 miles in a MH vs a truck / trailer combination.
As far as I know, there are no reliable statistics for this, but I have no clue. For all I know, this is tracked in detail by the NHTSA or some other governmental agency. Anyone know?
Too many variables.....some as has been mentioned. Others can be;
define motorhome ? Some older models on the road are basically a 2"x 2" wood framing bolted to the main frame/out riggers vs the new gen MH with the passenger buss like steel framing.
And
define the tow vehicle and trailer ?.....again a new gen one ton DRW crew cab at 9200 lbs pulling a 1800 popup (per rv.net weight cops) vs a '80s std duty 1/2 ton truck pulling its max 7500 lb trailer tow rating.
