White knuckles for 600 miles!
First long tow with new camper and it was horrible. I cannot seem to get this combo anywhere close to what my Surburban and other camper felt like. I'm getting pushed by everything from big rigs to small cars. I felt it some on our first trip but that was no interstate. No traffics and I'm fine. E rated tires, Bilstein shocks. New B&W hitch on truck. Reese dual cam is adjusted correctly. Been towing since 2001 and never had a more stressful trip.
I had about 20 gallons of water on board and the tanks go all the way across so some sloshing could be a factor. Tanks are in front of axles.
Is the Dual Cam up to the challenge of a 32 footer? Do I need to start looking at PP's or Hensleys?
I've never felt bow wave effects like this before, I'm really fighting it in some cases. Speed is average 60/65 mph. I've not had it weighed. I've seen F-150's pulling this camper!!! Not sure how tongue weight could be too lite on this beast.
Sorry for the ramble, just trying to get all the info in. Might be a while before I can reply.
