I, too, would check the tire pressures first. You would be astonished to know how greatly they affect handling. 5 lbs more or less makes a HUGE difference.
Back in my foolish youth I used to run auto crosses with various sports car clubs in my daily driver. Adjusting the pressure difference between fronts and rears by about that much determined whether my car slid the front wheels first or the rears. And a TV/TT combo that has any bias at all toward the rear sliding first will be almost unmanageably squirrelly.
