I tow this trailer with a 2500HD CC. I towed it with a 2500 Yukon XL, a 1500 Double Cab Sierra V8, and I may have towed it with a 1500 Double Cab Sierra V6.
I believe that your empty weight is several hundred pounds more. The only time I weighed mine, it had 1400lbs tongue weight. I went to 1000-1400lb bars on my hitch.
I have never felt white knuckled.
