John you could be on to something and I sure hope you are. The tires are the only difference from my last trip. Then, I was running a 285 D that came on the truck. I've since put on Cooper AT3 265 E's. So this is first trip with new tires.
Last trip I had our rear kitchen slammed full of drinks, lots of weight on the very back of camper and no issues like this, however there was no interstate involved. We're more or less running empty for this trip to Disney, we're not even cooking in it this time.
You need to start the tire pressure experiment. I started at 50psi front and 80 psi rear which was door sticker and on the Steel Tex that worked great. Going to the LTX, it was all over at teh same pressures. I jumped 10 psi on the front and found that global shift, night and day literately.
Then I went up in 5 psi jumps. Your torsion bar front end is the same as mine was. Do you have the 6.0 gasser or the Duramax? I'm assuming the gasser as that is why the pressure is so low to start with. If the diesel go to 70 and fine tune from there. If the gasser, go to 65 and try it. You need to find the point the front will bounce and then back down, if you find it.
I have 2 good camping buddies with F250's. One with the power stroke and he runs 70 to 75psi on the front and always has and swear by the LTX while I was swearing at them...
My other bud had the V10 gasser on his F250 and went from Steel Tex to LTX. He started at 50 psi too. I warned him, he didn't think anything about it as he even has a Hensley. We went camping together and on the way there, he went through an intersection and the front end went soggy on him... After this he aired them up and the issued went away.
I also see ktosv picked up on the rim width, I was going to say that too. If the tire is a lot wider then the rim, this can in some cases aggravate the side wall wiggle as the rim bead is not so inline with the tire bead.
Good luck and report back.
