I felt it was my duty to report this to the forum. Had a complete tire failure on the way to Cedar Point this weekend. I have seen a lot of threads about ST tires and Maxxis so I thought I should post...

There has been 21 other Maxxis ST users on RV.net with tire issues.
I doubt DT will replace the tire at no cost but may prorate you a replacement.

– 3 to 5 years is the average life expectancy of a trailer tire,regardless of mileage.
– It is estimated that in approximately three years, roughly one-third of a tire's strength is gone
– After three years, depending upon storage and conditions of usage, consider replacing trailer tires even if they have tread depth remaining.
– After five years, trailer tires should be replaced in all cases.
I've seen 7 years from P and LT tire makers but nothing any longer from a mfg. DT or any tire dealer system make all kinds of claims that may or may not come from their tire mfg.
