How would you respond to the two counterarguments I singled out in my previous post?
Just curious.
I like the one that if I must share the cost of services/facilities I do not use, why shouldn't everyone do the same? That sounds reasonable, but not everything fits into that model. Individually charging for electricity would be along the same lines. If you have 3 acs you should pay more than a popup. Likewise, your dog is another "guest" and some parks feel justified in charging for that. I'm also going to go out on a limb here and say that I'd be more likely to find caring and responsible dog owners in parks which do charge the fee.
A funny but quite strong one also given is that if I am paying this fee to management on order to have dog poop picked up, why would I bother to do it myself? How would management handle that? Weigh each poop? Count poops? What about pee? Does your female dog urine kill grass? I don't think that argument is quite strong, although on its face it does bear a grain of logic. I'm also pretty sure the "poop" fee would be substantially higher were that actually allowed. It would take many employees to keep up with that job - just wait until the first guest stepped in dog******and drug it into the office to complain.
FYI- I spend very little time in RV parks and do not own dogs.
