I bought an old , 22 years, 30 foot Class C for $2200. IT was actually bigger than I wanted and had a lot of newer stuff on it. No horrible issues and I added electrical stuff I wanted. Took me 1 1/2 years of checking Craigslist to find it but it served my purpose well as I recently finished a 108 day, 8500 mile trip in it.
I never felt out of place or intimidated by the big boys in the campgrounds. I couldn't imagine ever wanting one of those giants, too big and too expensive.
