Why buy a new $125,000 motorhome?

When DW and I married a looong time ago we started planning for retirement almost immediately. We bought our C new off the showroom floor nine years ago and we've taken good care of it (parked indoors) so it looks like new. Even though we were well off we still financed a portion of the price for a number of years like many do buying a home. We paid it off in 7 yrs which is considerably quicker than many mortgages. Like several on here have pointed out, irresponsible spending only makes one look like the federal government and no one wants to look that bad.
