Yes I can, and do sit on my countertops. I can also put hot pans on them and cut on them without damaging them. I have a king size sleep number with a 4 to 5 inch memory foam topper, and yes I do have a VERY strong roof system that does not leak! The point was if you wish to buy or build an RV with cheaper products, then so be it, but don't try to tell those of us who chose to get more that we might be crazy because "why buy a new $125K MH". Heck, $125K is cheap for a descent NEW MH. You might get an entry level, shorter gas MH for that!
