The last gasp of the oppressive employer holding down the poor workamper. Perhaps you should set your sights a bit higher and appeal to the President to issue a modern day Emancipation Proclamation. President Obama, Set the Workamper Free!!!!!!
This particular forum was one of the driving reasons I joined RV.NET. As many of you may have read I have been a vocal critic of the way this forum is moderated. It is simply killing it.
I just mentioned the moderation policy to Marcus who was responding to a post in another forum and I have sent a complaint to the President of GSC Mr. Siemens.
There is absolutely NO logical, supportable, factual argument that can be made by the Moderator or the Admin for this dead end policy. It comes down to one thing only.
The Moderator wants it this way.
The fact that the policy is bad for the advertisers is completely lost on the moderator. The fact that the policy is exclusionary and not in the best interests of the majority of users is lost on the moderator.
The fact that this forum is moderated DIFFERENTLY than virtually any other forum on this site seems to be lost on the Moderator.
Other RV and Workamping sites actually ENCOURAGE discussion about job postings and welcome comments both Positive and Negative.
There are too many employers out there who skirt the law and take advantage of (especially) temporary and seasonal workers. There are some employers who just blatantly scam people. Gladly they are in the minority but we as potential workampers DESERVE the ability to hear BOTH sides, the good and the bad about employers and the jobs they are advertising.
The good and honest EMPLOYERS deserve to have an open forum so that those who have worked there can relate to others what a good job it was and how well the employer treated them.
All of this is denied to us as users and employers by this ill conceived policy of moderation.
It needs to be changed.
