I'm guessing what the OP is wondering is why do so many here bash those pulling campers with a heavy GVWR, even though the actual weights don't exceed their truck's capacity.
If this is what you're asking, it shouldn't matter.
For example, an XLR 420 weighs under 15,000 lbs. dry with a hitch weight under 2600 lbs.. Its GVWR is 21,000 lbs.. We are seriously considering this model for my F350 SRW. I have no worries about that because I'll never put 6,000 lbs. of cargo in there. A golf cart in the garage along with my clothes, LP tanks and a bunch of Coke Zero 2 liters have no chance of making this camper heavier than 16,000 lbs..
I'm totally fine with that no matter what anyone else says.
