I'm interested in a trailer that has 2900lbs of CCC, which if fully loaded would put me over what I consider to be a safe limit for my TV. So I'm wondering what considerations I might be overlooking that would help inform this decision one way or the other.
Consider how many people in your family and how much gear you will load in your RV. 1200 pounds is a good starting point for an average family.
Also keep in mind the dry weight figures are notoriously inaccurate and too. Your dry weight (starting figure) may easily too low by 200 pounds or so due to options installed on the RV.
1200 for family's stuff + 200 for options on trailer = 1400
1400 is a decent cargo number to use and gives you a 1500 pound cushion.
