My old trailer weighed 4500 empty, axel and hitch wt together. When loaded ready to go, we were in the 7000-7500 total. Sometimes as low as 6000 depending upon the how long, where we were going. Did we have 6+ pairs of ski's, boats, clothes etc. I also did not have access to water at the local ski area's, Along with no electricity and sewage. So we had to carry everything we needed along.
With this in mind. it does not take long to get 1000+ lbs of stuff into an rv! depending upon the stuff/junque one is including in the number. I'm including TWO BIG 6V BATTERIES that were in size 31 in nature, over 300ahrs total. not golf cart batteries. two 10 gal lp tanks. Full 40 gals of water. Awning and ac that was not in brochure wt. Many times we had a partial black tank that was frozen from the weekend before, not able to be drained.
Kasani, another moderator when he bought a trailer a few years back, figured 600-750 lbs of stuff to his new rig. Weighed everything going in, stuff went in at some 1200+ lbs! That is for two people!
Some pack light, some pack heavy, some pack however.....
