Wow, I've been lurking around the forum for just over a month now and this is the first time I've seen Full-Timers as "drifters, deadbeats" or worse... I always thought a Full-Timer was a choice, especially by retired folks, as a way to enjoy life and see this great country of ours.
A DEADBEAT, WoW I would think there are some who would not agree or appreciate that association.

tatest has a valid point. Many, particularly those who believe that one MUST own a house, consider me homeless. I don't own a home, nor do I rent one. In our property driven society, those that rent are often looked at as 'less' than those who own. Those that neither rent or own a 'house' are homeless.
On rv.net, where most everyone has an rv of sorts, and many are full time rvers, the perception is different. But ask around - in dealing with non-rv people, we often get looks and attitudes that show disapproval of our life choices. Some pity us (though we pity them at the same time). We have been told not to worry, that the economy will improve and we should be able to afford a house soon. (sigh)
Its not that I appreciate the association, nor that I agree with it; I just understand that there are many narrow-minded people out there who cannot conceive of a home not being a house.
