That is due to lack of fully inspecting PRIOR to purchasing....NEW or USED
True. However, if new the repairs get done for free under warranty. Used, you're on your own.
FREE under warranty.....after leaving it at a dealer for weeks/months.
NO THANKS!
Would rather fix it myself, have it done right and done NOW
Just like I ended up doing with my NEW---ORDERED 5th wheel :B
And....OB has it.
Bought both ways - whenever or whichever happens to be on the "front burner" at the time. *NEVER* been unhappy with either.
Current (bought new) 5th wheel had a 2 yr warranty - which I never used (or needed).
Unless there is some MAJOR flaw - "warranty work" is a PITA.
(Always going to be minor items that slipped past the best PDI. Simple to fix - with LOTS of "down time" saved).
Bought used slide-in campers, TTs & MHs with "fixits" I easily took care of.
The OP could have saved the keyboarding..:R
(And asked the guy how he does with used cars/trucks, LOL!)
If the buyer is in-capable of sound judgement, evaluation by a mobile RV service (or mechanic for RVs with drive lines) is worth the relatively small investment.
Folks will purchase according to their preferences, "mind-set", "deals", as well as what's in their wallets..:S
Roll on.
