Why not to use portable heater while driving

Well, glad to hear no one was hurt. I agree that he seemed to not be too familiar with what he was doing...or he was just a "throw caution to the wind" kind of guy.

Here's yet another reason I like our heat strips in our overhead air conditioners. I fire up the generator, set the thermostats on the wall and they keep the passengers nice and comfortable during the trip, plus it gives the generator it's needed exercise. The heat strips don't do a great job of quickly heating the rig, but they are very good at keeping it comfortable while rolling down the road.
