You ask a question about "camping out" on the Penn State Campus, and you think it is rude that someone told you to call the Bryce Jordon Center to see it they allow it. What is rude about that?
Sure, you probably already thought of that...maybe since they didn't know the answer they should have kept quiet....still, calling is SOUND ADVICE. May not be what you wanted to hear, but it is still sound advice.
I, YES ME (and one other) point you to campgrounds in the area, and I, YES ME...include the old joke about 100,000 for gear and a free place to park. This is rude?
Which part is rude? The old joke about cheap places to stay, or the ADVICE on local campgrounds??????
Truthfully, I am surprised you only got 3 responses to your query. With all due respect to your sensitivity, expecting to stay overnight at a sports arena on a very well known campus, is naive at best. I figured alot more people would chime in with "yeah right" comments.
As it was, three (3) people chimed in with advice to call or about local campgrounds. You are just upset because no one said "sure you can...we do it all the time".
Take the advice you got....call...if not allowed to camp on the college (you won't be able to, campgrounds in that area are booked thru football season) you have two recommendation for two different campgrounds within 15 miles.
There are rude "trollish" responses on every site. Maybe someone should just shut up, instead of telling you to "google it". Then again, you are asking them to do your research for you. Maybe you should google 1st, then ask questions about your research...ie, "is this campground nicer than that campgound"...instead of "are there campgrounds in Kentucky????"
I learn something from this site on a daily basis. I think most people are very willing to share advice, expertise & experience. However, it is a site built upon opinions. On here, or in person, you ask for my opinion....do not be surprised if I give it to you.
