There are so many places where there is NO cellphone coverage. You have to get off the beaten path to get into one of them.
When there is no phone coverage WIFI is the only option. CGs with WIFI are iffy at best. Often the excuse is "We had a lightning strike a couple of days ago which put our router out." Tired of hearing that one. If there is a nearby town & there is a true NEED to get online the library is usually the best bet. In a CG that often only has an indoor router at the office various external booster WIFI antennas are available. We have a directional small dish antenna which will take a one bar signal & boost it to a four when pointed at the source of the signal.
